To keep up with the changing times, Pinterest experiments with ads as its traffic is moving from the web to mobile and will be ”promoting certain pins from a select group of businesses.” Pinterest promises that there will not be any flashy banners or popups and these promoted pins will be relevant to the users tastes.
Facebook Tests Easier Way to Watch Video
Now when you see a video in your news feed, it comes to life and starts playing. This reminds us of how videos or clips play in Vine. On Facebook though, videos initially will play silently, and if you want, you can tap to play with sound in full screen.
Facebook Redesigns Mobile App
Keeping in mind the changes in iOS 7, the Facebook app for iPhone includes a new menu at the bottom that makes it easier to get around.
Twitter Introduces New Version of Mobile App
This is that usual cycle of big players updating their apps to feel better and one with iOS 7. The new versions of Twitter have been released for both iPhone and the iPad.
Tumblr Adds Push Notifications
Tumblr has updated their android app to now support push notifications. Whenever someone interacts with your posts or follows your blog you get updated. The updated iOS version is on its way.
